Personal Data Collected and Why It Is Collected

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the blog we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to verify you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture (or avatar) is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact Forms

When you contact us using the Contact Me form on our website, your name, email address, website (if provided) and the submitted text are forwarded to our email Inbox ([email protected]) so that we can provide the requested customer support.  The forwarded information is deleted when the customer support is completed.

How We Share Your Data and With Whom We Share It

Automated Blog Post/Newsletter Subscription Data

When you subscribe to the Stampin’ With Pixie blog we share your name, email address and subscription preferences (blog posts, newsletter, blog post & newsletter) options with an automated email application.  We are currently using MailChimp to provide automatic emailing of blog posts and newsletters to subscribers.  Our subscription process is multi-step and requires explicit opt-in confirmation.  You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any Stampin’ With Pixie email and/or newsletter.  MailChimp is fully GDPR-compliant.  To review the MailChimp privacy policy click here.

Anti-Spam Application

Submitted comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.  The anti-spam application may use your IP address and/or Cookies to secure and to protect this website from spam.

How Long We Retain Your Data

A submitted comment and its associated metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. Data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes is not included.
